Phil Hellmuth Caused Quite a Commotion at the WSOP

The 2010 World Series of Poker carries on from Las Vegas with the main event that began on Wednesday, UB Referral Code. Play will continue through Saturday and then continue on Monday after a well earned day off on Sunday. Phil “The Poker Brat” Hellmuth caused quite a commotion as he entered action looking more like a championship boxer than a poker player as he strode in with a robe and mixed martial arts gloves.

UB’s Hellmuth said he thinks about “70% of the poker world, maybe more, loves the entrances.” Brunson’s posted later on Twitter: “got scolded by PH for my last tweet. Sorry Phil, but I got 103 responses. 99 agreed with me, 4 didn’t. I love you anyway, gl in the WSOP.”

About almost two hours late, Hellmuth stepped out from behind a UB Bonus black curtain on a portable stage outside the Rio. About a dozen dancing girls, poorly dressed in pink, hooded robes, had warmed up the crowd. They were joined by two male dancers, who imitated MMA fighting with their moves.

UB’s Hellmuth Made His Grand Entrance

Phil Hellmuth made his annual tardy entrance here at Day 1c of the WSOP Main Event complete with dancers and a backup that included MMA fighter Wanderlei Silva.

The immodest display featured Hellmuth arriving on the red carpet almost two hours late decked out in a fighter’s robe. He was lined by a dozen or more poorly clad ladies, Silva, ring announcer Bruce Buffer and hundreds of curious UB Referral Code onlookers.

Hellmuth has made a custom out of showing up to the WSOP Main Event late and in recent years the shenanigans have only spiraled up. Last year he came in lifted on a pedestal and dressed in Ancient Roman attire. While the media feeds off of Hellmuth’s exploits, not all poker players are amused, UB Poker Bonus.

Doyle Brunson has said many times that he believes it’s bad for the game. “I’m not playing today so I won’t witness Hellmuth make a fool out of himself with his entrance,” Brunson said on his Twitter page. “I can’t help thinking it’s terrible.”
